CAM has experience of developing individual software solutions for our customers in the space and aeronautics industries. The successful development of individual software solutions requires both a complete understanding of customers processes as well as the software tools used. Our services include the complete software development process – from the definition of the customer requirements, the complete system design, the definition of the test cases, the software development and documentation to the system acceptance by the customer and go-live.
We have two main areas of software expertise:
- Rich Internet Applications.
Using Adobe Flex® CAM has developed applications making the power and usability of the desktop available in the browser. Standard features available include export and import with cut and paste, drag and drop, simple and formatted data entry. We have even integrated the use of the Microsoft Word® text editor in the browser to allow the integration of special characters and formatting. The newest java technology together with the flex front ends enables us to develop stable, user friendly applications quickly and effectively. - Mobile data entry applications for Microsoft Tablet-PC.
Under Windows 7, the handwriting recognition on the Tablet-PC has a quality to be used in professional applications. CAM software skills combine a usability similar to that available on the iPad with the power of the Microsoft operating system. Data input with handwriting recognition or touch keyboard – initially stored locally and when online updated to the existing central computer systems. The CAM-RF product was developed completely in C# - this technology is available for all individual projects.
SUCCESS STORIES
ARTS - Verification Tracking for A400M
CAM Systems together with IABG developed ARTS, which is now successfully being used to plan the German verification tests for the A400M military transport aircraft. CAM successfully completed the first stage of the software which went live less than 6 weeks after the kick-off meeting, including multiple data entry screens, extensive ad-hoc reporting and fixed reporting in Excel. The software was developed in Flex, with an Oracle Database and JBoss application server. The systems combines both a superb look and feel, enabling usage with minimal or no training, with complete security checks in both server and client.
SMMART – EU Research Project.
The SMMART project was partly co-funded by the European Commission under the FP6 research project, and aimed at creating information technology solutions to reduce maintenance costs and improve maintenance efficiency. CAM both successfully managed Work Package 5100 (mobile device), coordinating the work of four companies across Europe, and developed a flex application to integrate and analyse all relevant data for the maintenance engineer.
