Satellite Launch and Commissioning Engineering Manager (m/w)
Are you looking for a new and interesting activity in the area of Satellite Operations? This could be your field of responsibility:
• The Satellite Engineering Manager will prepare all satellite missions: In-Orbit Validation (IOV) with 4 satellites and Full Operational Capalibilities (FOC) with 18 satellites.
• He will oversee all Launch and Early Operations (LEOP) and In Orbit Test (IOT) phases before handing over to the Operations Service Manager for the routine activities.
• He directly interfaces with the System Engineering Team for technical coordination of schedule engineering/management, SVT and EtE planning, SIM campaign planning, maintaining and upgrading of the operations baseline, definition of operations validation plans for system upgrades and system issues arising.
• He directly communicates with ESA/EC for clarification of operational needs.
Your profile requires:
• University degree in Aerospace Engineering (5 and more years) or equivalent
• At least 10 years work experience in European Space programs
• At least 7 years in senior management positions related to spacecraft operations.
• In-depth experience in the working methods of ESA, CNES and DLR.
• Good English and German language skills
• Readiness to take on responsibility, team spirit and communication capability
In addition the following experiences are considered as an asset:
• SCOS, MOIS, ESA type simulation facilities.
• Security clearance
