JANUAR 2012 - CAM SYSTEMS SIGNED WITH COMAC AND 2D-TECHNOLOGY MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ABOUT DEVELOPMENT OF FLIGHT-TEST MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE
CAM Systems, Munich Germany signed with COMAC, Shanghai China and 2D-Technology, Alpharetta, GA 30004, USA on January 20th a Memorandum of Understanding about the development of flight-test management software.
CAM Systems has developed flight-test management software used at Eurocopter and Cassidian (EADS Military) in Germany. The software does not entirely meet the requirements of the Chinese market, so new software will be developed by CAM Systems to be used in the certification of the ARJ21 and C919 development and certification flight test programmes.
David Cole, Software Development Manager of CAM Systems, stated that the new software will not only support flight test engineers in their work to produce better documentation, but also include optimization modules to reduce the time required to complete the flight test program.
Jon Ding, president of 2D technology, expressed the hope that the software could in time be used by all Chinese aircraft manufacturers.
Zhiong Xin Xiu, chief design engineer of the ARJ21, stated that CAM Systems’ long time flight test management and software development experience provides the ideal combination to support COMAC
